The Broadmoor | 2008 US Senior Open at East Course

East Course

The Broadmoor | Senior USGA Tour

The 2008 U.S. Senior Open will be contested on The Broadmoor East Course, a championship golf course in the true sense of the word. When completed in 1918, The Broadmoor East Course was the highest golf course in the United States at 6,400 feet in elevation. It is now a combination of the original Donald Ross design combined with holes designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1965.

The fairways have been narrowed and new tees and strategic bunkers have recently been added to this old gem to create a par 70 of more than 7,200 yards. This will provide a stern test for the greatest amateur and professional senior golfers in the world.

The 2008 U.S. Senior Open will be the sixth USGA Championship staged at The Broadmoor:

Year Championship Champion
1995 U.S. Women's Open Annika Sorenstam
1982 U.S. Women's Amateur Juli Inkster
